After working next to expats for a lot of years and also, being an expat myself; when coming back to Uruguay I decided to start: EXPAT UY.

Trough EXPAT UY I offer relocation services to individuals or families who are coming to live in Uruguay either temporarily or permanently, and who are looking to settle in quickly.

As I always say: hiring me is like renting the cousin you would like have had when coming to Uruguay... someone that can give you a good local advice, and who can relay on for the every day stuff.

New requirements when applying to residency~~Now, it seems from today, they are asking also to present a “constancia de... domicilio”. It is issue by the police station (seccional policial). There is one police station in each neighborhood....

Criminal record

Criminal record~~I did a bit of research on this topic and they said to me that depends not only in how long ago it was... also the kind of crime. In any of the case, from my experience, they take a time to evaluate your specific situation....

Colesterol

Colesterol~~From my experience, if your "colesterol" values are not correct they notify you... If they are so so, they... it is a way to make sure you have a test done at least one every 2 years.

Other health card is for drive licence....

This area is nice... during the day you can walk to Durazno St. and Parque Rodó just to look some streets with trees. NOT in the night.
